Bengalee Film Queen

She thought back to a recent audition of her latest film she went on. One fine morning, she arrived at the office of the ‘Taramaa Movie Enterprises’ after getting an invitation from the great Producer Manas Chatterjee of the film.

“Shrabantiji has just arrived, sir,” called his slim lady secretary, sticking her head inside the door frame.

“Send her in,” replied the short-sized, chubby man in gray slacks and a white dress shirt. He was neat as a pin except for the tie that hung open around his neck. “Why she’d wished to try an audition for a role like this after her superhit film ‘Sonar Sansar’, but I’m not going to offer this role without having a special service from her.”

“There’s no way the famous actress like Shrabanti is going to agree with such role. I think it will be more easy if we could talk with other actress like Subhasree or Ritabhari about it. I’m sure, there’s just no way!” A slightly drunkard older man commented who seated beside him.

“Right this way, Shrabantiji,” the secretary interrupted, ushering a confident-looking Shrabanti Chatterjee across the rich, beige, carpet.

She was resplendent in a white colour chiffon saree with a tight sleeveless matching blouse that hugged her 38″ breasts quite well. Her feet bore a pair of cream-colored high heels, and her deep black hair shone prettily in the room’s soft light. The chubby gentleman simply motioned for her to have a seat, and as she sank into the couch across from his mahogany desk, both glanced on approvingly.

“My name is Manas Chatterjee,” the chubby man introduced himself, walking over and offering his hand. “I’ll be directing this film. I’m honored you’ve considered working with us and you know very well that I’m a huge fan of your work.”

“Thank you very much,” Shrabanti replied graciously. “That means a lot. You’ve been among my favorite directors also for some time.”

“We’re just a little concerned that you might not have read the script thoroughly,” the fat man became flattered after receiving appreciation from the famous actress as he introduced the other person to her as “And this is ‘Mr. Firdous Alam’ co-actor and assistant director of this film.”

He was an attractive looking middle aged yesteryear popular Bangladeshi actor…. his hair was black and matted. His grimy, battered face bore the stubble of whiskers. His clothes was fresh….. neat and clean on his medium-sized body

“Shrabanti, you may know this gentleman. He used to be a famous actor back in the late 90’s. He had so many hit films with Rituparna Sengupta, Rachana Banerjee, Arpita Pal….I’m sure you can identify him now.”

“Oh Thank you Firdous Sahab….I’ve seen some of your films in which you’ve acted with Rituparnadi and Rachanadi. They’re fantastic and after that I dreamed a lot to work with you,” She expressed her longtime cherished dream.

“It’s also along great pleasure to me also…..but I’ve a doubt if you really have read the script because the character is quite bold and sluttish in nature,” Firdous expressed his concern.
