Anjali stayed quietly with a sad face. I made an equally sad puppy face saying “okay dear, it is clear that you don’t like me the way I like you. I know this is the reason you are talking to me like this. Please understand you are the only purpose of my life”.
She said “I understand papa, just that let’s not discuss my bedroom life. It makes me very uncomfortable”. I said “fine I will not ask again. But tell me about your feeding problem. I know it is troubling you and Hansh is not doing anything to help. Please tell me, I honestly want to help”.
Now she spoke after prolonged silence. She said “yes papa, I have a problem with feeding. My son does not drink all my milk and that makes my breasts hurt when they get full. I already know there is nothing we can do about that”.
