I said “there is something more that I need to tell you”. While running his hands in my hair, he said “go ahead Anita, say it. I am all ears”. I said “in the heat of the moment, I made him a blind commitment. Which I am regretting after he told me what it actually was”.
Prakash asked “what is it such that makes you regret it”? I replied “he wants me to go to him every day and be with him for as long as he wants”.
Prakash laughed and said “this is a blessing in disguise for you Anita. Why are you stupid enough to regret such an awesome offer especially after you enjoyed so much with him”?
I was baffled to no end listening to his answer. I was thinking this would get him worked up or pissed but this turned opposite… on me. Prakash continued “you are free all day long, so you might as well spend your free time having fun with him instead of watching TV”.
I shot back “you can’t be joking Prakash. I did this for your sake as a one-time thing. Now you want me to go to him every day”? He calmly answered “why? did you not feel like meeting him again especially after you enjoyed so much today”?
I felt cornered now, I said “yes I felt like, but I was not sure if it was the right thing to do. So I wanted to check with you first”. Prakash said “are you mad Anita? Life is knocking on your door and you still want to check with me”?
I whispered a yes. He said “I have already given you full freedom to do anything that makes you happy, because your satisfaction is paramount for me. All he is asking is for you to spend your day with him. He did not ask you to move in with him right”?
I again whispered “yes, he didn’t”. He said “from tomorrow I want you to spend the day with him and be back in time before our children return. That’s an order. Understood Anita”?
I kissed him on the cheek and said “just relax Prakash, I was only pulling your leg. Nothing like this has happened. I only wanted to see how you would react if this ever happened”.
Prakash looked at me surprised, he said “so you pulled a fast one on me that too on such a serious topic… now you will need to pay for this mistake”.
I replied “ok Prakash, punishment accepted” and we both laughed. He said “you are making the same mistake again by accepting the punishment without understanding what it is”.
I said “Yes I know and I will accept any punishment you give me for this. Now let’s get some sleep”. We slept nicely with me dreaming about the awesome time I had with Rafiq.
